Description | Methods based on genus-specific PCR, species-specific PCR, amplified ribosomal DNA restriction analysis (ARDRA) of PCR amplicons (914 bp) using 6 restriction enzymes, DNA fingerprinting methods - RAPD with 7 random primers and rep-PCR using both BOXA1R and (GTG)5 ones, were used to differentiate among 16 type and collection Bifidobacterium strains of 11 species of human origin, B. animalis and B. lactis and Bifidobacterium spp. collected in Culture Collection of Dairy Microorganisms (CCDM, Tábor, Czech Republic). The highest discrimination power had the RAPD method which distinguished all tested species. Bifidobacterium sp. CCDM 223 strain was identified as Bifidobacterium adolescentis species. The other six Bifidobacterium sp. CCDM were classified as species. |
