Description	Contribution deals with evaluation of innovative potential on example of the Czech regions. Evaluation process includes two basic components i.e. innovative quality of business environment and innovative quality of companies. Analytic information about microregions are synthesised oh hierarchical level of NUTS 3 and consequently interpreted from the point of view perspective neeeds of regional policy.
