Description The evaluation of the results of the heart rate variability (HRV) analysis in boys has been very difficult since there were not any difference values. Therefore the R-R intervals of 35 healthy children (15 boys and 20 girls), at the age of 4 to 6 years, was measured in a rest lying and standing position, using the system for short records VariaPulse TF3. Next time domain and spectral analysis of HRV was performed. There was calculated the basal statistical characteristics of HRV parameters. The results, and mainly the figures, could be the basal values at clinical practise where the same measurement method is used.
