Citation JONES, Sarah, Margaret FLORENCE, Ian ELLIS, Richard KAY, Jacqueline COX, Kateřina KAŇKOVÁ, Seth SCHOR and Ana SCHOR. A keratinocyte-produced inhibitor is differentially active against two isoforms of MSF. In British Microcirculation Society Meeting 2006. 2006.
Description MSF is a truncated (70kDa) isoform of fibronecting displaying number of potent biactivities mediated by IGD-amino acid motif. Two MSF isoforms, differing in terms of 15 amino acid deletion in a module II-1, have been identified. While IGD-mediated bioactivities od both isoforms are identical, deleted isoform (MSF-aa) is not inhibited by recently characterised inhibitor produced by normal keratinocytes. Furthermore, various cancer cell lines produce MSF activity which is not inhibited or partly inhibited by MSF inhibitor.
