| Description | The workshop Progress in paleopathology was organized in occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Division of Medical Anthropology, Department of Anatomy, Medical Faculty, Masaryk University in Brno. The specialists from Czech and Slovak anthropological workplaces including students took part in this action. A progress in paleopathology was summed up in introduction lectures. Interesting paleopathological cases were discussed in practical part of the workshop and the participants discussed also the basic criteria of differential diagnosis and the most often errors in these criteria. The discussion about individual cases was very useful especially for the present students showing how to make diagnosis and instruction and how to avoid jumping at fast and wrong conclusions. The specialists appreciated the possibility of discussion difficult diagnostics and other problems with their colleagues. |
