Description | In the collections from the excavation seasons 1952-58 at Pavlov I 9 fossil bivalve species, 46 gastropod species, 3 scaphopod species, 2 worm species and 1 shark tooth were ascertained. The majority of fossils are of Badenian age, the Sarmatian and Pannonian elements are less frequent.Gastropods of younger than Miocene age (Pliocene - Quaternary) occurred quite sporadically. The primary state of preservation of fossils is variable, secondary (human-made) adaptations were ascertained in 31.7% of the total specimens number. |
