Description Article deals with general notion of Europeanization. The authors try to cover particular meanings that are given to this concept by academic community. Most important meaning of Europeanization is, however, connected to mutual processes of influence between European Union level and domestic level of particular European countries. We can argue that not only EU-member countries are involved in these processes but in some extent also candidate countries as well as non-participating countries. They have to cope with challenges of European integration process, at least in the field of particular policies that are affected by changing policies of the EU. We can observe certain tendencies of prevailing policy-oriented research in the framework of broad Europeanization concept. Thus one of the aims of presented article is to examine potential of Europeanization issue in comparative politics oriented research. Particular conceptual problems of Europeanization (such as normative aspects of the concept, methodological insufficient approaches, problematic selection of case studies) are further discussed. Article argues that research in polity and especially politics fields are necessary to be extended and more proper theoretical and methodological framework should be developed. It concludes with list of potential topics of comparative politics oriented research.
