Description | A complex analysis of relationship between carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) and baroreflex sensitivity was performed in normotensives and hypertensives with respect to the signs of tonic and reflex autonomic control of heart rate and blood pressure, and ejection fraction. Treated hypertonics have besides greater IMT signs of a decreased parasympathetic and an increased sympathetic activity corresponding to decreased BRS, BRSf, variability of heart rate, and increased blood pressure. |
