| Description | Hardness of materials and responsible methods were developed as a pure phenomenological subject, without any physical meaning. Only in last decade great changes are observed in understanding of complex mechanisms governing indentation. The reason of the progress lies in necessity of small samples and thin solid films mechanical properties measurement. |
