Description | Determination of cadmium in real samples with complicated matrix by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) is influenced by chemical and spectral interferences. The interferences can be suppressed by applying various procedures. A special technique of separation is the electrochemical preconcentration of the analyte on electrodes. Commercial electrographite ridge probe coated electrochemically with palladium was used as a working electrode and was inserted with the electrodeposited analyte into the atomizer. Potentiostatic electrodeposition of cadmium on the graphite probe electrochemically coated with palladium was applied to the determination of cadmium in sea water and urine. |
