Description | Prospective study focused on the exact measuring of the rotation change (derotation) of the apical vertebra of the idiopathic scoliotic curve after the surgery. 31 operated cases were examined using CT scans. The posterior surgeries (thoracic and thoracolumbar curves stabilization using Miami-Moss and Isola systems) in 25 cases have no significant influence on the degree of derotation of apical vertebra. A significant derotation has occured after anterior surgery (6 cases) using Miami-Moss system in lumbar curves. |
