Description Altogether 88 specimens of gudgeons were caught at three localities of the Vlara River from autumn 2000 till autumn 2001. They were examined for diplozoid monogeneans and 366 specimens of Paradiplozoon homoion were collected. 29-49% of diplozoid specimens showed abnormalities of the attachment sclerites. Nine types of clamp abnormalities and one type of the central hook abnormalities were defined.
