Description The Rožná uranium deposit is located in cataclastites that formed during Late Variscan shearing of high-grade metamorphic Moldanubian rocks. The shearing was associated with widespread chloritisation of biotite and formation of white mica. Chloritized zones were later intruded by saline, oxidized brines, capable of dissolving U from host rocks.
