Description | Prognosis of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is not satisfactory. The aim of the study is to improve diagnosis of MAL in cases characterized by specific chromosomal translocations t(18;21) and t(15;17) using RT-PCR. To determine optimal conditions for detection of both translocations we performed a detail study of experimental onditions for RT-PCR on human cell lines NB-4 and KASUMI-1. The results proved to be valid for clinical diagnstics of the translocations in blood and/or bone marrow samples of AML patients. |
