Description | Recently, plants have been found to have genes for homologs of bacterial two-component system proteins, namely histidine kinases and response regulators. We are interested in a group of Arabidopsis response regulators inducible by nitrate and cytokinins. Our main goal is to use reverse genetics to isolate insertional mutants in these genes. So far, we have identified an insertion in ARR4 gene. In future, we plan to isolate more mutants and characterize their phenotype. |
