Description	The paper analyses the work Lift Up, City! (1947) by the co-founder of the Brno literary group Čestmír Jeřábek and examines the reflection of selected places from Brno in this work. The author also reflects on specific motifs, the choice of places and the criteria for their selection in the context of the novel as a whole.
