Description | B cell receptor (BCR) signaling is essential for both standard and malignant B lymphocytes' maturation, survival, and proliferation. The importance of BCR signaling is highlighted by the high clinical efficacy of inhibitors targeting the BCR-associated BTK and PI3K kinases, especially in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Differences in the extent of BCR signaling contribute to variable prognosis in CLL and other “mature” B malignancies, and short non-coding RNAs such as miR-150, miR-155, miR-34a or miR-17-92 play an essential role in this process. However, it remains unclear whether long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are also regulatory BCR signaling and related interactions in the microenvironment. The lecture will focus on the role of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) in regulating BCR signaling and other interactions in the microenvironment of malignant B cells, as well as related changes during therapy with targeted drugs. The lecture will include insights into ncRNAs acting as synchronizers of BCR signaling and BT interaction cells. |
