Description Speleotherapy is a special climatic treatment method that uses the climate in the cave as a natural resource. Its main, immunomodulating effect favorably affects both conditions with reduced immunity and allergic diseases. Nowadays, parents try to avoid chemicals and drugs, so speleotherapy as a natural treatment method is used more and more to treat children's diseases. In the Czech Republic, 3 children's hospitals offer speleotherapy for children. The caves of the Moravian Karst, which are specially adapted for speleotherapy and are otherwise inaccessible to the public, provide a cave climate for children. The presented work provides an overview of diseases that can be treated with speleotherapy, an overview of children's hospitals with speleotherapy with their specifics for the treatment of other diseases and an evaluation of the use of this therapy in 2013.
