Citation
Description This article focuses on the daily life of the Early Slavs from their arrival on the European continent to the arrival of the Avars. The work is structured into several interconnected thematic units. The main body presents all areas of everyday life in the Early Slavic society, from an enumeration of the foodstuffs used, including their processing methods, to an overview of the developmental changes in Slavic society, an introduction to material culture with a focus on articles of daily use, and a description of festivals and traditions along with customs carried out during the life cycle. Subsequently, the work focuses on units such as housing, material culture, spiritual culture and funerary customs. There is also an introductory issue of the arrival of the Slavs in our territory through the migration of peoples and a final reflection on the origin of our fables.
