| Description | In the European context, public transport traditionally represents an important part of the total transport volumes and in terms of transport sustainability, considering the number of passengers the importance of public transport will continue to rise even though at the moment there is a downturn due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. In the long term, however, the existing transport infrastructure is approaching full capacity with regard to use of available routes as well as tramcar occupancy and passenger throughput at stations. |
