| Description | Neuropathic pain is a very common symptom of many clinical neurological entities (mononeuropathy, polyneuropathy, radiculopathy, spinal cord lesions, stroke conditions, etc.) and is also a significant component of vertebrogenic or tumour pain. It seriously reduces the quality of life of patients, interferes with sleep and is often accompanied by anxiety and/or depression. A wide range of drugs are now available for its treatment, which, when used as monotherapy or in combination therapy, can provide relief for a significant proportion of patients. Non-pharmacological approaches can also be used in therapy. |
