Description The method solves the problem of preparing reduced graphene oxide (rGO). Reduction and exfoliation of graphene oxide (GO) is one of the possibilities of production of graphene and graphene-like materials with interesting electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. The method utilizes low-temperature non-isothermal plasma generated at atmospheric pressure to starting a self-propagating reduction-exfoliation process of graphene oxide in a porous material containing graphene oxide to increase the overall electrical conductivity and specific surface of the porous material. The method is based on generating a plasma in close proximity and inside of only a part of the total volume of reduced-exfoliated porous material where starts a self-propagating process of reduction-exfoliation of graphene oxide while specific parameters are met to generate the triggering plasma.
