Description | The promotion of well-being in primary schools is proving to be an important part of children’s education and development. This study aims to familiarize the Czech reader with the form, contents, and results of preventive programs supporting the well-being of pupils in upper elementary and lower secondary schools. The subjects of analysis are empirical studies of the effect of individual programs obtained by searching the Web of Science database. The analysis focuses on the form of delivery, the thematic content of the programs, the experimental design, the method of measuring well-being, and the effects of the individual programs. The analysis of the programs revealed four main content themes: emotions; relationships; mindfulness and relaxation; and strengths. When a program included content related to relationships or strengths, it was successful. If a program did not develop well-being positively, it did not have a positive effect on other variables related to self-experience. No relationship was identified between the form of the program and its effects. |
