Description | The paper focuses on the theory and methodology of examining cognitive changes induced by school instruction. Theoretically, it addresses the typology of cognitive change according to the Kvasz’s Theorem (2020) on the conformity of types of cognitive change at the level of historical cultural epistemology and personal epistemology. The authors argue that they share the same cognitive basis: the semantic-logical structure of the scheme by which knowledge of content is stabilized. The theoretical and methodological bases are illustrated with an example from the educational field of physics. |
