Description The paper presents a partial output of two waves of data collection of a longitudinally conceived research project called Career adaptability of vocational upper-secondary school graduates during the school-to-work transition. Both waves of data collection took place in two regions of the Czech Republic and we created a separate questionnaire battery for each data collection. Questionnaire batteries were distributed to respondents 10 months apart. The aim of the paper is to outline the potential of various types of career guidance services for the development of career adaptability of students who achieved secondary vocational education in the last school year and started to study at universities in the academic year 2018/2019. The fact that one-off and repeated use of career guidance services increases overall career adaptability and, in particular, the dimension of concern and curiosity, was statistically demonstrated in the data from the first wave of data collection (a total of 3,028 respondents). Now, we will introduce the level of individual dimensions of career adaptability (concern, control, curiosity, confidence) before taking the school leaving examination and after joining universities (139 respondents in total) in the case of those who would currently welcome help in career decision-making, planning and looking for specific options while achieving career goals or in promoting career development.
