Description | The talk compares the discourses of populists in several European countries, as far as the self-presentation of such movements on the Internet is concerned. The analysis has shown that while there are many similarities, there are also some significant national differences, e.g. between Poland and the Czech Republic, in terms of what topics are emphasised (family, religion, Western values, etc.). Thus, different communities construe the outside threat posed by the (immigrant and other) outgroups in somewhat different ways. |
