Description Hunting ethics, traditions, customs and skills are an integral part of hunting in the Czech Republic, and are reflected in the form of tourism that is associated with hunting. This article focuses on hunting tourism with emphasis on the hunter, the guide and hunting traditions. In its first part, the theoretical approaches and concepts related to the problems are defined. In the second part, qualitative surveys, semi-structured interviews, explore aspects of the journey, motivation, attitudes and needs that lead to a better understanding of the hunter’s habits. By capturing the exact answers of 10 participants of hunting tourism in the Czech republic as well as abroad it is shown that traditions and customs are a necessary and authentic element without which this form of tourism could not exist.
