Citation
Description Petr Chelčický, in his works, does not only address the general or moral remedy of the Church, but also considers his teaching in the perspective of religious practice. Particularly in the concept of sacraments and human salvation, we can see the processes such as individualization, democratization, systematization, rejection of ritualism and the disenchantment of the world and salvation - the processes standing at the core of Max Weber's theories and theories of secularization. Because the reformation is considered to be part of the older history of secularization in these theories, I want to offer a theoretical interpretation of Chelčický thought focused on these processes, following the research program "Historization of the Secularization Debate" proposed by Philip Gorski.
