Description The primary aim of this thesis was to research the incidence of over-training syndrome in ballet dancers during adolescence. Secondarily, we verified the possible relationships between the perceived level of training load and the intensity of training, personality and perfectionism, and the connection between the perfectionist tendencies and the personality characteristics of the five-factor model of personality. The hypothesis of the relationship between the level of perceived burden and personality characteristics was confirmed. A positive correlation with Neuroticism and negative correlations with Affinity and Consciousness. The hypothesis of the relationship between the perceived load level and the perfectionist tendencies was confirmed as well as the hypothesis of the existence of a relationship between certain perfectionist tendencies and personality traits in all dimensions of the five-factor model of personality.
