Description Research objective of the project was to demonstrate the positive significance of the applications selected intervention exercise program, physical fitness and body composition of women 60-76 years old. Input and output diagnostics fitness levels was performed using two motor tests ("chair stand test" and "1 mile walk test"), muscle force of the lower extremities were diagnosed by isokinetic dynamometry and input and output values of body composition were obtained by bioimpedance analysis on device InBody 720. All the mentioned tests we performed in the control (10 women) and experimental (14 women) groups of women over 60. The experimental group underwent interventional motion program, which ran for eight weeks in the intensity of two times a week and included a combination of strength and endurance training. The positive impact of the intervention exercise program significantly reflected in the assessed parameters of physical fitness experimental group. A statistically significant improvement was seen in both tests of physical fitness "chair stand test" and "1 - mile walk test." After the intervention we have seen also significant changes in the strength of the lower limbs. There was a significant increase in strength abilities particularly in flexors (dominant) right leg at an angular velocities (60°/ s-1, 120°/ s-1, 240°/ s-1) and at an angular velocity of 240°/ s-1 also flexors left leg. Expected changes in body composition in the experimental group of women were not confirmed. Statistical significance was defined as p <0.05%. This study highlights the need to perform regular physical activity in the context of aging, the risk of loss of functional mobility and independence in later age.
