Description | Thermal stability of primary CoSb3 skutterudite as a reference material for study of complex multicomponent skutterudites was investigated. The temperature and phase stability have been studied by means of thermal analysis (TA) and Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry (KEMS). Results of phase transformation processes and vapour pressure measurements of antimony as well as those from microstructure observations and measurements of diffusion profiles, as essential data for evaluation of the long term thermal stability, are discussed. |
