Description | We propose a photonic crystal composed of Eaton lenses and invisible lenses, respectively. We show that for certain frequency ranges the photonic crystal of Eaton lenses is transparent, whereas the crystal composed of invisible lenses cannot be penetrated by the light waves. This is exactly the opposite behavior than one can observe within geometrical optics where the Eaton lens works as a perfect retroreflector, while the invisible lens is transparent. |
