Description | This paper is focused on embellishments, illustrations, and bindings of books that were published by large Czech publishing houses and small private publishers during the first half of the 20th century. While portraying some unique pieces of art that are rightly counted among the most beautiful Czech books, it also shows how important Comenius’ legacy was it that period and how his thoughts were considered still relevant. |
