Description Visualizations in the area of human-computer interaction have entered the 3D era. Virtual representation of spatial data are increasingly used in applied areas such as military, navigation, crisis management or air control (ATC). The added value of three-dimensional representations is a greater number of visual cues included. On the other hand, from a psychological perspective it raises the question to what extent a given type of visualization change the nature of human perception, not only on the perception level, but also on the interaction level. Our previous studies indicate that despite the information equivalence of the presented contents, a form of 3D visualization affects the performance of the participants. We see as a fundamental discovery that the real immersive 3D visualization, despite the higher number of visual cues included, increases the tendency to omit important aspects presented on the screen, which in turn leads to human error. In the field of human-computer interaction the human factor is the crucial issue. Primarily, in the development of user-interfaces there should be the tendency not only reduce the number of possible errors, but rather to avoid any of mistakes. For this purpose it is necessary to analyze in detail the conditions of the system as well as the process by which the operator interacts with the system. Depending on results of our previous research we design a user interface that provides opportunities for effective human-computer interaction and also enables its measurement. Using modern technologies (Eye-tracking system, Motion Capture system, wide-angle 3D projection), it is possible to analyze the problem-solving strategies in different types of 3D virtual interfaces.
