Description Death due the failure of the circulatory system, among which include cardiovascular and vascular diseases in general, are the main cause of death in the country. Early diagnosis of hemodynamic system plays a main key in the early treatment of the patient. Bioimpedance measurement provides measurement of the cardiovascular system as a whole at a time. Its main drawback, however, is the lack of credible measurement that would offer a clear significance between the standard measurement methods (ultrasound, measuring PWV etc.). We decided to carry out a series of measurements, which have the role to fill this gap in the measurement method. Comparing ultrasound measurement of blood vessels using the Doppler measurements, and the whole-body impedance, we demonstrated that the measured flow characteristic onultrasound and bioimpedance curve at the same location register at the same times a rise of the flow curve and the maximum flow curve. Based on these measurements it can be argued that although the BIA measurement does not sense flow as such, but rather a change in resistance that puts the blood vessel flow, these two parameters are linked together so that bioimpedance can be evaluated, for example, pulse wave velocity as accurately as utrasound.
