Description Gastrointestinal tumours are the most common in geriatric patients. Rate od curative surgical resection decreases as the patients get older. Most of the patients in the age over 65years come with late diagnosis. Also comorbidities influence oncological therapy. This chapter deals with the aspect of high age of the patient and adequate surgical therapy to treat the oncological patient together with keeping the quality of life. This chapter foccusses on the malignities of colon, return, pancreas, esophagus, stomach, gall bladder and liver.
