Description The aim of the study is monitoring of selected biomechanical parameters before departure and after returning from a stay and training at altitude. The study was conducted as an observation of cross-country skiers, regular participants in the highest competitions in the Czech Republic. Changes in selected biochemical and physiological indicators monitored group of athletes confirmed the positive effect of a ten-day stay and practice in higher altitudes. The question remains, how long they can withstand elevated after short stays.
