Description The chapter of monograph deals with the risks of exercise intervention in metabolic syndrome. In the chapter is discussed the issues of physical activity and its impact on human health. Furthermore, the authors describes the stress tests and their role in exercise prescription in prevention of sudden cardiac death, but also as an objective means of determination the optimal interval heart rate during aerobic exercise. The next section is dealt with in detail prescribing exercise program, even in different population segments. The last part of the chapter is devoted to the risks of musculoskeletal injuries due to the implementation of the physical activity in metabolic sydromu. Among the most important risk factors the authors includes the frequency and intensity of the load, the type of physical activity, body composition, genetic factors, congenital malformations, low level of motor learning, comorbidities, age, and gender
