Description This chapter discusses the role of nutrition in patients with metabolic syndrome. It is well known that there are many foods, functional foods and nutraceuticals that contain bioactive substances with a potential "pharmacological" activity. Eating foods with a higher content of bioactive substances should be a primary nutritional strategy for each patient with metabolic syndrome. Pharmacological and nutritional intervention in metabolic syndrome in the context of this work can be seen as an interaction with a joint therapeutic target.
