Description | Paper on parabolic story by Rudolf Kassner (The first publication with Kassner' The Book of Parable, 1934) According to Kassner his parables, parabolic stories, differ from classic short stories (which are composed according to so-called falcon principle) in the fact that they have middle, an equal sign. This is not a matematical center, mesured by number, but the center of a face or vision (Gesicht: what is on sight, vision) and is experience driven. Individualists of the generation that marched into the First World War "were in every sense without mercy ... left to chance, doomed to act against their will and create torsos." |
