Description | The contribution elaborates established area of educational research – Research on Pictures. Presented are outcomes of the inquiry which sought to synthesize current body of knowledge related to the issue of visuals in school textbooks which accumulated in the Czech Republic and Germany during contemporary period of time. Within the Czech educational research visuals are contemplated as means for didactical transformation and mediation of educational content. Attention is paid mainly to “didactical qualities” of visuals. On the contrary in German educational research visuals are considered as sources of didactical information |
