Description This paper summarizes experiences with adaptation of the questionnaire Teacher Power Use Scale (TPUS) authors Schrodt, Witt, and Turman (2007) defining the perception of power teachers in the classroom in the context of the theory of Frenche and Raven (1959) distinguished five bases of power teachers: coercive, reward, reference, legitimate and expert. The show will be aspects of the adaptation of the questionnaire to the Czech cultural environment with the extension of the original version of the second stage of basic school and for the purposes of the project GA 13-24456S Power in the classroom teaching students. The paper presents the results of preliminary standardization Czech version of the tool (1400 pupils from 60 school classes) and further experience with its use in practice.
