Description Amino acids are significant biochemical compounds with many functional and structural functions. Their levels in body fluids differs among various disease states thus monitoring of the levels of the amino acids could provide valuable information to diagnose a disease or support diagnosis of a disease manifesting ambiguously. The subject of this contribution is application of capillary electrophoresis coupled with contactless conductivity detection to separation and quantification of the amino acids in human plasma samples and description of relationship between diagnoses and measured levels of amino acids.
