Description This article deals with a multifactorial background of musculoskeletal injuries in patients with metabolic syndrome. The most important factors include the frequency and intensity of the load, the type of physical activity, body composition, genetic factors, congenital malformations of the musculoskeletal system, low level of motor learning, comorbidity and gender. The authors concludes that even if there is higher probability of musculoskeletal disorders, the aerobic activity and resistance training is considered to be very beneficial in the treatment of diseases associated with obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.
