Description Family medical history is a comprehensive view on morbidity and mortality in the family of the patient. It consists from questions on the family relationship to the patient, the type and age of the disease, age and cause of death of each of members of the family. Approximately 5 to 10% cases of cancer is caused by hereditary predisposition, in these cases, then according to the risk level, are proposed preventive diagnostic methods and, if need, preventive surgical approaches. The result of correctly obtained family medical history is the evaluation of recommendation to the genetic testing, and then the information about the possible inheritance of cancer or cancer risk for each family member.
