Description | The beginning of communist rule in 1947–1948 brought together exiled politicians and thinkers who started to co-operate on common projects for liberation as well as selfliberation and guarantees for safe Central Europe in the future. In 1953–1957, first projects were developed, another wave of projects appeared in 1968–1971 with the participation of new exiles. The third generation of projects emerged in 1980s, however the exiles from the first wave still participated. In all phases, there was institutional connection of varied extent to Western politicians, in 1980s, the main supporters were Austrian and French government policy. |
