Description The aim of this study was to apply proposed training program in a pre-season phase and verify its efficiency in standardized agility tests. We used three agility tests: T-test, Illinois test and Shuttle run test 4 x 10 m. The research group was assessed, based on agility tests, in the 1st week (pre-test) and in the 8th week (post-test). When we compared figures gathered from the pre-test and the post-test (T-test: 11.11+/-0.37 vs. 10.65+/-0.59 s; Illinois test: 17.13+/-0.54 vs. 16.32+/-0.35 s; Shuttle run: 10.97+/-0.42 vs. 10.26+/-0.45 s) we found statistically significant differences in all three tests (p<0.05). The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the training program in the pre-season phase. For future, we recommend to focus more on the methodology in similar types of research (to increase number of researched subjects, to form a control group, etc.).
