Description | Vitamin D is an endogenous product of mammalian organisms, which are synthesized from their own nature of the active substance of steroid hormones which are involved in a number of key metabolic processes in virtually every nuclear cell, either endocrine or subcellular level. Vitamin D represents an extremely interesting and acting pleiotropic molecule. The purpose of this review is to summarize some of the findings of the metabolism of vitamin D with regard to the pathophysiology of cancer. |
