Description Results of this study confirmed that fluoranthene (FLT; 0.1 and 1 mg l-1) did influence negatively neither the growth nor the chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of duckweed (Lemna minor L.) during 10 days of cultivation. On the other hand, the content of hydrogen peroxide and malondialdehyde in duckweed tissues significantly increased. The ratio of oxidized and reduced forms of thiols demonstrated, that the presence of FLT caused considerable increase of reduced thiols content and the relative portion of oxidized form was the highest in FLT concentration of 1 mg l-1.
