| Description | The new staining set for differenciation of biofilm-positive and biofilm-negative strains of microbes. The method is fast and simple and suitable for rapid detection of the ability to form biofilm. The novelty is use of the dye carbolfuchsine. The smear of bacteria is assessed microscopically - cells have dark violet colour, the biofilm layer has pink colour. The set can be sold commercially. |
